Make your changes first. Downloading requires a PearSign account. New accounts start a card-required 7-day trial; see pricing for renewal terms.

Keep just the pages you need. Type the page numbers you want and PearSign copies them into a new, smaller PDF. Your original file stays exactly as it is. It's a quick way to pull one section out of a long report, contract or manual.

How to extract pages from a PDF

  1. Click Choose PDF or drag a PDF into the upload box.
  2. Use the page preview to find the pages you want.
  3. In Pages to keep, type pages like 1-3, 5.
  4. Click Extract pages and check the preview.
  5. Click Download PDF. You'll need a PearSign account to download. New accounts must verify their email before signing in.

When to use it

  • Sending one chapter or section of a long document instead of the whole thing
  • Pulling the signature pages out of a contract
  • Saving only the pages of a statement that someone actually asked for
  • Building a short handout from a longer presentation PDF

Good to know

  • One new PDF. All the pages you type go into a single file. To save each page as its own file, use Split PDF.
  • Page order: pages are added in the order you type them, so 5, 1-3 puts page 5 first.
  • Basic limits: one PDF per job, up to 25 MB and 200 pages.
  • Password-protected PDFs aren't supported. Upload an unlocked copy.
  • Forms and signatures: fillable form values are kept as fixed text. Visible signature marks stay, but digital signatures don't carry over to the new file.
  • Privacy: your PDF is sent to PearSign's servers to create the new file. The result is available for one hour, and you can delete it sooner.
  • Account: extracting and previewing are free. Downloading needs a PearSign account.
  • New accounts: signup directs you to a card-required 7-day Starter trial checkout. See pricing and trial terms. The one-hour result window continues during checkout and email verification; if it expires, upload your file again.

FAQ

How do I save certain pages of a PDF as a new file?

Upload the PDF, type the pages you want in Pages to keep (for example 4-7), and click Extract pages. PearSign creates a new PDF with just those pages.

What's the difference between Extract pages and Split PDF?

Extract puts the pages you choose into one new PDF. Split saves each chosen page as a separate PDF in a ZIP.

Does extracting pages remove them from my original?

No. Your original file isn't changed. To get a copy without certain pages, use Delete PDF pages.

Is it free to extract pages from a PDF?

Extracting and previewing are free. To download the new PDF you need a PearSign account.

Only need a few pages signed? Extract them and send them for e-signature with PearSign.
