Turn one PDF into separate single-page files. Split every page, or type the page numbers you want, and PearSign saves each selected page as its own PDF. All the files download together in one ZIP, so they're easy to sort, rename or send one at a time.

How to split a PDF

  1. Click Choose PDF or drag a PDF into the upload box.
  2. In Pages to split, leave the box empty to split every page, or type pages like 1-3, 5.
  3. Click Split PDF.
  4. Check the preview of the first file.
  5. Click Download ZIP. You'll need a PearSign account to download. New accounts must verify their email before signing in.

When to use it

  • Breaking a scanned batch into one file per document page
  • Sending each page of a multi-page form to a different person or folder
  • Saving individual invoices or receipts that were scanned together
  • Uploading one page at a time to a portal that won't accept multi-page PDFs

Good to know

  • One page per file. Each selected page becomes a separate PDF named after its original page number (for example page-5.pdf). To keep several pages together in one PDF, use Extract pages instead.
  • Basic limits: one PDF per job, up to 25 MB and 200 pages.
  • Password-protected PDFs aren't supported. Upload an unlocked copy.
  • Signed PDFs: the split pages are editable copies. Visible signature marks stay, but digital signatures don't carry over.
  • Privacy: your PDF is sent to PearSign's servers to split it. The ZIP is available for one hour, and you can delete it sooner.
  • Account: splitting and previewing are free. Downloading needs a PearSign account (5 jobs per hour with the basic allowance).
  • New accounts: signup directs you to a card-required 7-day Starter trial checkout. See pricing and trial terms. The one-hour result window continues during checkout and email verification; if it expires, upload your file again.

FAQ

How do I split a PDF into separate pages?

Upload the PDF, leave the page box empty to split every page (or type the pages you want), and click Split PDF. You'll get a ZIP with one PDF per page.

Can I split only some pages?

Yes. Type page numbers and ranges such as 2, 4-6. Only those pages are saved, each as its own file.

Can I split a PDF into two halves instead of single pages?

This tool makes one file per page. To make a file from a group of pages, such as pages 1-10, use Extract pages once for each group you need.

Is splitting a PDF free?

Splitting and previewing are free. Downloading the ZIP needs a PearSign account.

Only one page needs a signature? Split it out and send that page for e-signature with PearSign.
